The Institute for Blockchain Studies is an independent non-profit research institute
examining the theoretical, philosophical, and societal implications of blockchain technology
(the distributed ledger software that underlies cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin).
The aim of the institute is to establish and promote Blockchain Studies in academic settings.
